Even though tons of new games have arrived and are still arriving on Xbox Game Pass throughout June, the subscription service is losing one of its best games on June 30 – but there’s still time to play it to completion if you move fast. There are still plenty of titles arriving soon, including a day-one release on Xbox Game Pass on June 30, so players don’t have to worry too much, but the service is balancing itself by losing a few games from the catalog.

Microsoft announced the changes to Xbox Game Pass during Wave 2 in June, including all the new additions. The announcement was made via a post on the official Xbox Wire website. Among the new additions are games like Abyssus, RV There Yet?, and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4. The post also reinforced that Junkster, a day-one release, is already available for members of the Ultimate and PC Game Pass tiers. However, it also put the spotlight on some titles exiting the service.

While Microsoft did announce several new June additions, as well as new July games for Xbox Game Pass, the post on Xbox Wire also highlighted all the games that are leaving later this month. In total, there are eight titles being removed from the service, but one of them is a major loss. Unpacking is leaving Game Pass on June 30, representing what could be considered one of the biggest losses the service will see this month.

While Unpacking on Xbox Game Pass is a smaller game than Tomb Raider and Rise of the Tomb Raider, both of which are also leaving on June 30, in terms of scope and size, the indie title is an absolute hit. Currently, you can play Unpacking for free with any Xbox Game Pass membership on consoles or PC. If you’re a member, I highly encourage you to play it before it leaves.

The good thing is that you can easily beat this game in one sitting. According to HowLongToBeat, it takes around four hours to fully beat the game, so you can do so with time to spare before it leaves on June 30. Unpacking is a cozy game where you’ll help the main character unpack their belongings through various stages of their life.

Through these phases, you’ll be immersed in a cleverly designed story, which is told without words or dialogue. You’ll notice how the story is unfolding based on where the character is and, most importantly, how their items are placed in their home. Unpacking is one of the best indie games – if not games, in general – available on Xbox Game Pass, so be sure to check it out soon.
