Animal Collective To Play Feels In Full at NYC and LA Shows
Music

Animal Collective have announced two live shows dedicated to their 2005 album, Feels. The band will bring the record to New York’s Knockdown Center on October 22 and Los Angeles’ Fonda Theater on October 24.

The two shows mark the quartet’s first performances together since 2022. They follow last year’s 20th anniversary reissue of the album, which came with nine unearthed B-sides and previously unreleased demos. The same year, they also premiered FeelsLive 04/05, which compiled live recordings taped to MiniDisc at a series of shows from 2004 and 2005.

Animal Collective shared their most recent album, Isn’t It Now?, in 2023. Since then, members Panda Bear, Avey Tare, and Geologist have each shared projects. Last year, Geologist and Deakin collaborated on the soundtrack to Jetty, a documentary about the reconstruction of New York’s Rockaway Beach in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.
