Grand Theft Auto VI is still scheduled for release on November 19, and that means that we’re closer to actually playing the game than we have ever been before. That said, the lack of concrete information around the game’s plans, bearing in mind how close it is, has created an air of nervousness around its arrival.
The fact remains that signs look pretty good that Rockstar is planning to stick to their current plans, with Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick currently doing the media rounds to talk in cryptic terms around the game. Now, more information has supposedly emerged, but fans are really living on their last nerve, and they aren’t as excited as you might expect.
Over on Twitter/X, the user GTA 6 Countdown shared a post detailing rumors that have emerged on the GTA forums about the game’s pending third trailer. The post reads:
“Rumor: GTA 6 Trailer 3’s song is The Rolling Stones Doo Doo Doo Doo (Heartbreaker). The song fits the story and Rockstar’s style so it’s plausible. This rumor comes from an account in the music industry claiming they found out by accident.”
It’s obviously not the most concrete of leaks about the potential direction of the final trailer before release, and fans are absolutely sick of being given information without anything tangible coming to fruition.
“Stop it. After everything that’s happened, you still think you can predict Rockstar Games’ moves? This source doesn’t know anything about the trailer song,” one comment read.
“No I’m not believing this one. I will see on Tuesday. If nothing then, I will just wait until it eventually shadow drops. I’m done believing in every theory. Its hurting the hype for me,” another added.
While a third said, “This is fake but im gonna believe it because I have nothing else to believe in with Rockstar anymore.”
Others started to put forward their own theories on when the next trailer may release, with one saying, “Lowkey might drop tomorrow, who knows. But I am feeling tomorrow’s date. It’s also the last Tuesday before TTWO earnings call. The next one is in August which by that time, we will probably already have the last character trailer with the first gameplay trailer coming soon.”
The fact is that GTA VI has been so massively, ridiculously hyped for so long, that many fans who had been excited about its arrival are genuinely starting to become fatigued. Let’s hope that Rockstar gives everyone something new soon, just to calm down the conversations among fans.
