Spider-Woman is a prominent hero, most famously embodied by Jessica Drew. Following a severe childhood illness, she was experimented on by her father, which led to a permanent alteration of her genetic makeup. She subsequently gained extraordinary abilities like super strength and her signature venom blast, initially working for Hydra before deciding to use her powers for good.
She clashed with Jessica Jones in Alias #20 during The Underneath arc. Drew ambushed Jones inside her apartment, demanding to know the whereabouts of missing teenager Mattie Franklin. Jones revealed she called Drew for help earlier, prompting her to check her voicemail. She then used this opportunity to deliver a swift punch, sending Drew flying and knocking her out cold.

Michael Marko, also known as Man-Mountain Marko, is a massive brute active within the Marvel underworld. He is often employed as hired muscle for prominent criminal syndicates like the Maggia. He was enhanced by the Maggia’s scientists and gained tremendous strength, historically overpowering other Marvel powerhouses like Luke Cage and antagonizing Spider-Man.
The towering criminal severely underestimated Jessica Jones during their encounter in Alias #5, even though he initially seemed to have the upper hand when he ambushed her. He attempted to strangle and kill her, but she escaped his grasp by boxing his ears. She proceeded to beat him severely afterward, leaving his entire face soaked in blood.

Typhoid Mary
Typhoid Mary is a mentally unstable mutant assassin who regularly threatens New York City. She suffers from severe dissociative identity disorder, in which her distinct alternate personality manifests limited supernatural abilities. These include pyrokinesis, telekinesis, and mind control techniques. This combination of attributes makes her a formidable adversary for any street-level hero.
Her lethal talents were fully on display during the events of the Hardcore arc in Daredevil (Vol. 2) #48. The deranged villain targeted Matt Murdock’s love interest, Milla Donovan, while the hero was assuming his civilian identity. Fortunately, Jessica Jones was also on the scene, and a combined effort from her and Luke Cage was enough to subdue the rogue mutant.

Mac Gargan is a classic Marvel supervillain widely recognized as the iconic Spider-Man enemy, Scorpion. Originally a private detective, he underwent genetic mutation and received an armored suit with a lethal tail. His defeat at the hands of Jessica was unusual, unfolding during her origin story in Alias #23. Determined to hone her new abilities, Jessica was busy testing her strength and capacity for flight. While the armored villain was raiding a nearby laundromat, Jessica crashed into him and knocked him out, inadvertently halting his illegal activities.

Robert Hunter, otherwise known as Nitro, is a supervillain who serves as a walking weapon of mass destruction. He started out as a regular engineer, but was genetically altered by Kree extremists to become an explosive threat. He possesses the terrifying ability to detonate his body and cause massive blasts while also being able to seamlessly reconstruct his body.
During the Secret Empire storyline, he was among the villains employed by Hydra to attack Manhattan. He soared over Times Square, aiming to trigger a devastating explosion to incinerate the heroes sent out to stop him. Right before he could achieve this, Jessica Jones launched upward and intercepted the bomber, hurling him away while he detonated at a safe distance.

Diamondback
Willis Stryker is a notorious crime lord who operates under the menacing moniker of Diamondback. He rose through the ranks of New York’s criminal syndicates, establishing himself as a ruthless underworld boss. Notably, he bolstered his natural combat expertise with artificial enhancements, which gave him greatly enhanced physical traits and strength.
During the 2017 Defenders run, he poisoned Luke Cage and left him critically injured. This enraged Jessica Jones, who tracked the mobster to his hidden lair. She ambushed the villain and struck him across the face, giving him a black eye. Alongside her teammates, she would later go on to defeat him for good during the same run.

The mantle of Goliath has been passed to several characters in Marvel Comics, with Tom Foster as the figure of interest in this piece. Utilizing subatomic Pym Particles, he possesses the ability to dramatically increase his physical stature and muscle mass. In his gigantic form, he commands colossal power that should be well beyond the reach of any street-level hero.
He crossed paths with Jessica Jones when he joined the Revengers in their ambush on the Avengers Mansion during New Avengers Annual #1. The giant aggressively sought out their laboratory and was on the brink of a destructive rampage. His size proved insufficient, however, as Jessica grabbed him by the nose and slammed him on the ground, fully incapacitating him.

The Green Goblin
Norman Osborn is one of the most dangerous masterminds in Marvel History, known for his exploits as the Green Goblin. Empowered by a chemical enhancement called the Goblin Formula, he boasts significant strength and possesses a terribly fractured psyche. He combines his physical prowess with advanced technology, most notably his signature bombs and glider.
In The Pulse #5, he attacked police forces at his corporate headquarters while Jessica Jones was present. Surviving a massive explosion, she chased after him and knocked him off his glider, crashing him into the pavement with devastating force. Though he escaped when his glider struck Jessica from behind, she no doubt won their direct physical confrontation.

Doctor Octopus
Dr. Otto Octavius is a brilliant scientist who schemes under the alias Doctor Octopus. After a devastating laboratory accident that permanently attached four mechanical tentacle arms to his body, his genius intellect twisted into complete megalomania. He telepathically commands the four tentacles to great effect, as they grant him exceptional mobility and astounding brawn.
The opening pages of Jessica Jones #6 pitted him against Jessica Jones, who was still acting under her old identity as Jewel. Their clash only occupies a single page, but it shows Jessica hurling the crazed madman into a Daily Bugle vehicle while uttering a crude catchphrase. Octavius is knocked out, and Ms. Marvel arrives immediately after, looking thoroughly amused.

The Purple Man
The Purple Man is a terrifying psychological threat whose real name is Zebediah Killgrave. Following an accidental exposure to experimental chemicals, he gained the ability to control minds through spoken words. He routinely strips away his victims’ autonomy, forcing them to execute his twisted whims. He acts as Jessica’s archnemesis and has caused her great suffering over the years.
In the final issue of Alias, he once again attempts to torment Jessica, projecting nightmarish illusions and instigating a street-wide brawl between civilians. He then orders her to kill one of the heroes who arrived on the scene, but she triggers her hidden psychic barriers just in time. She proceeds to beat him senseless, claiming victory over her unrelenting adversary.
